About Ashhurst Domain
Ashhurst Domain, also known historically as Otangaki, occupies the site of a former pā and features rich soils once cultivated by Māori. The area remained accessible mainly by boat until a wooden bridge was built in 1886, with the current concrete bridge completed in 1969.
