Brew Union Brewing Co

Brew Union Brewing Co

Palmerston North's own craft brewery and taproom — bold, locally brewed beers poured fresh on Broadway Avenue, right in the heart of the city.

About Brew Union Brewing Co

Brew Union Brewing Co is Palmerston North's home-grown craft brewery, producing a rotating range of beers brewed on-site and served directly from the taproom on Broadway Avenue. From hoppy IPAs and sessionable pale ales to rich stouts and seasonal specials, the team at Brew Union are passionate about making great beer and sharing it in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

The taproom is a destination in itself — a comfortable, lively space where you can pull up a seat at the bar, watch the brewery in action, and work your way through the current tap list. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a quality local pint, Brew Union delivers an experience that's hard to match in Palmy.

What's On Tap

Core Range

Brew Union keeps a solid core range on tap — expect well-crafted lagers, pale ales, and IPAs that have been dialled in over time. These are the beers that regulars keep coming back for, session after session.

Seasonal and Limited Releases

Alongside the core range, the brewery regularly releases seasonal and limited-edition beers that reflect whatever's interesting in the brewing world at the time — barrel-aged experiments, sours, hazy NEIPAs, and more. Worth checking what's new on any given visit.

Snacks and Shared Plates

The taproom menu keeps it simple and beer-friendly — think snacks and shared plates designed to complement whatever you're drinking rather than compete with it.

The Taproom Experience

Brew Union's taproom has a relaxed, industrial feel that suits the brewery setting perfectly. It's a spot for after-work drinks, weekend catch-ups, and anyone who wants to drink something made locally with genuine craft. The team are knowledgeable and happy to help you find something you'll enjoy from the tap list.
